2024 LCPHC is Canceled

The temperatures over the last week have been cold and helped to create a beautiful sheet of ice. Our crews have scraped, swept, and flooded the ice multiple times in preparation for the tourney. However, after spending significant time on the ice the last few days, we are amazed at the variability of the surface. While we are confident that the conditions would have held up on Friday for tournament play, we are too uncertain about what the ice will do under the impact of the event and the warm temperatures after three days of temperatures over 45 degrees.

Due to that uncertainty, the 2024 Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic is canceled. We do everything in our power to pull off these events and often that is pushing the decision to the 11th hour, to allow our crews to work their magic and let the forecast settle in.

For those of you still coming to Vermont, we hope you enjoy the weekend. Visit the many fine establishments, enjoy a cold Coors Light, and have fun with your buddies. That is what a PHC weekend is all about and we are going to miss welcoming you all to the ice and being a part of it.
