General, Refund & Weather Policies
Pond Hockey Classic – Policies
Team entries will not be processed without full payment.
All participants will be required to sign waivers and provide photo ID (proof of age) upon registration. Any player in violation of the minimum age requirement will forfeit their place in the tournament. Any team playing with an underage or unregistered player will be disqualified from the tournament and will not receive a refund.
A player will only be allowed to play for one team in the tournament.
The PHC reserves the right to add or delete rules; all teams will be informed of changes prior to the start of the tournament.
The PHC committee reserves the right to prohibit any player or team from participating if they are deemed to cause safety concerns.
Pond Hockey Classic – Registration & Refund Policies
Team Fee: $1,200 (per event)
Payment Requirement: Teams must pay in full to secure their spot in the tournament.
Deposit: Each registration includes a non-refundable $250 deposit applied toward that year’s tournament.
Withdrawal Policy
Teams withdrawing before November 15 prior to the tournament will receive a registration fee refund less the non-refundable $250 deposit.
Teams withdrawing after November 15 prior to the tournament will not receive a registration fee refund.
Event Cancellation Policy
If an event is canceled for any reason (including but not limited to COVID-19, weather, or unsafe ice conditions), refunds or credits will be processed as follows:
44–30 days prior to the tournament: Teams may choose either
50% refund of the registration fee, or
Credit of the registration fee (less $250 deposit) toward the following year’s event.
29–10 days prior to the tournament: Teams may choose either
25% refund of the registration fee, or
Credit of the registration fee (less $250 deposit) toward the following year’s event.
10–5 days prior to the tournament:
25% of the registration fee will be applied to expenses already incurred, and
75% of the registration fee will be credited toward the following year’s event.
No refunds will be issued.
Less than 5 days prior to the tournament or during tournament weekend:
50% of the registration fee will be applied to expenses already incurred, and
50% of the registration fee will be credited toward the following year’s event.
No refunds will be issued.
Travel Expenses
The Pond Hockey Classic is not responsible or liable for your team’s travel expenses, including but not limited to air travel, lodging, car rental, and personal auto travel. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance when booking, as most providers offer affordable coverage.
WEATHER POLICY
The Pond Hockey Classic does everything in its power to host our events, however, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. We hold the right to change venue, tournament structure/schedule, and number of games should the conditions merit. Our goal is to play the tournament in a safe and efficient manner for our participants and spectators.
