When can I register my team for the 2012 Pond Hockey Classic?
Registration for the both Pond Hockey Classics open to the public on September 1st, at 12:00 pm EST. Registration is done online at www.pondhockeyclassic.com. Check out our Participate page for more information.
When will the 2012 New England Pond Hockey Classic take place?
The 2012 New England Pond Hockey Classic will take place February 3rd-5th on frozen Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire. Check out our Schedule of Events page for more information.
When will the 2012 Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic take place?
The 2011 Lake ChamplainPond Hockey Classic will take place February 17th-19th on frozen Lake Champlain in Colchester, Vermont. Check out our Schedule of Events page for more information.
What does the registration fee include?
The team fee of $600 for the NEPHC and $420 for the LCPHC not only gives your team the opportunity to participate and a chance to become the Pond Hockey Classic Champions but also a number of other great things. Entry into all tournament tents, functions and shows. A player pack which includes a tournament gift, coupons to local and regional businesses, souvenirs, sponsor and tournament information and much. much more!
My team is registered for the waitlist. Now what?
Well you are going to have to wait! Unfortunately we can only have a certain number of teams participate and we are sorry for this. On occasion some teams may drop out or have to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. In the event of a cancelation, our policy is to work our way down the waitlist to fill the open spots. Hopefully, we can get you into the action but either way we would love to see you during tournament weekend to watch some games or possibly even volunteer! I don't want to just wait, Is there any other way to get into the tournament?
Yes, as a matter of fact there is. The team who raises the most money for Restore Hockey through the "We Want to Play" Fundraising Campaign will earn free entry into the PHC of their choice. For more information please visit Restore Hockey Fundraising Page by clicking here.
When do players check-in for the New England Pond Hockey Classic?
For those arriving Thursday evening player check-in will be held at the Chase House Flagship Ballroom, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.. For those arriving Friday morning check-in will re-open at the Flagship Ballroom from 7:00 a.m. - 12:30 a.m..
When do players check-in for the Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic?
Thursday February 16th at the Windjammer Inn in Burlington, VT from 5:00-9:00 pm. Late Player Check at the PHC Bob House at Tournament Village site.
How many games does my team get to play?
All teams are guaranteed four games with the possibility of more if they make it to medal rounds. Two games Friday and two games Saturday with Playoff rounds on Sunday.
How many players can each team have?
Teams can carry four to six players in the Open, 30+ 40+ and Legend Division. The Just for Fun Division (U-35 and 35+), Womens, Old Timers are allowed to have 4-8 players on a team. We recommend 5 to give you a substitute and to cover any injuries or illnesses which may arise.
What is the format of this year's tournament?
All Pond Hockey Classic games will be played in a four-on-four, no goalie, round-robin format. Games will be two 15-minute halves with a 2-minute intermission.

If one of my teammates gets injured, can I sub in a new player?
Each team can make one substitution. Substitutions must be made by 8:30 a.m. on first day of the event. No other substitutions throughout the tournament are allowed. The four to six players that are on your roster at 8:30 a.m. on the first day of the event must be the same players that play on your team throughout the tournament. Players can only play on one team throughout the weekend.
With the cold weather, how should I dress to stay safe on the pond?
Dress Accordingly. We will have warming tents, and vendors will be selling hand and feet warmers as well as hot beverages and food!
Can spectators come out to watch the pond hockey games?
Absolutely! All Pond Hockey Classic is free and open to the public. In addition to the hockey action, the Pond Hockey Classic offers activity tents, family fun zones, and live entertainment throughout tournament weekend. We hope to see you out on the Bay!

Are my team fees tax-deductible?
No, The Pond Hockey Classic is a small privately held, grassroots event management company. The PHC is not a 501-c(3).
Please note that your team fees for Pond Hockey Classic are tournament fees, not a charitable contribution or donation. See above for details on what is included in your team fee.
All donations made to Restore Hockey through the various Fundraising Campaigns or events associated with the PHC are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. How Do I edit my Roster?
To access your roster once your have registered your team, go to www.pondhockeyclassic.com, in the upper left hand corner click login. After you have entered your username and password you will be taken back to the PHC Home screen. Again in the top left corner is a drop down arrow, click this arrow and select registrations and surveys. You will be taken to a screen where you will see your teams entry, Select the entry, from this point you can edit, add or delete players form your roster.
