October 30, 2012 - The Pond Hockey Classic says bring on the cold so they can "Bring Hockey Back to the Basics!" Excited about the Pond Hockey season ahead, the PHC is poised to take full advantage of the forecasted cold winter in the months to come. The 4th Annual New England Pond Hockey Classic experienced a record sell out with divisions filling up hours after registration opened. The 2nd Annual Lake Champlain Pond Hockey Classic is looking to ride last years momentum into a bigger and better second year with registration still open across all divisions.
"The PHC is in great shape and cannot wait for the mercury to drop below 32." says PHC Commissioner Scott Crowder, "Our NEPHC is sold out with 200 teams and we are about to launch a marketing campaign for the LCPHC in cooperation with USA Hockey and Labatt Blue in hopes of increasing registration numbers there."
The PHC expects the LCPHC field of play to surpass last years 55 teams. Registration for the LCPHC is done online through the PHC website. Interested in registering a team? Click the link below
The PHC is also looking to improve the tournament experience across both events for everyone involved. Increasing partnerships with sponsors, adding to on site amenities, and hosting auxilliary events to keep things rocking both on and off the ice during the entire tournament weekend.
