December 5, 2011 - The Pond Hockey Classics like most pond hockey tournament are filled with characters. Good ol'fashioned hockey guys and gals looking to have a good time, crack some jokes, crack some beers and play some pond hockey. One of the most unique aspects of the PHC isn't that we play outside in the dead of winter on a frozen pond. No its the creative name that our cast of characters rally behind during the course of tournament weekend. With over 200 teams competing across both PHC's this winter we decided it was time for us to give everyone a chance to vote for the best team name.

For the next four weeks the PHC will be conducting a team name compeition on our facebook page. We have selected a number of names from the pool to get everyone, each Monday 5 names will be released. Our followers will have the opportunity to vote till Friday for their favorite team name. The top team with the most votes will move onto the next rounds and sometime in January the best team name will be revealed.

Will it be the Might Duck Itch?

Or the HazBeens?

Will it be a comical name like the Labatt Blue Balls?

Or a classic like the Winnipesaukee Whalers?

Like us on Facebook in order to cast your vote. Make your voice heard, be a part of the fun. Click here to be taken to the PHC Facebook page!
